Project: Plush Cupcake for The Package Project
I have finally been assigned a partner for The Package Project!
After taking a peek of my partner Kara’s blog, I noticed that she definitely has a thing for cupcakes. So I thought what would be cuter than a plush cupcake??
It was very fun to make and sewing the square miyuki beads on as the sprinkles makes this plush cupcake quite the treat.
I will be posting this to Kara along with some other little goodies very shortly. I hope she likes it!
Project: Reversible & Foldable Tote Bag
xx The Reversible and Foldable Tote Bag xx
It’s always fulfilling when you complete a project and it turns out to be easy and better than anticipated. This tote fits in your handbag so it comes in handy for a day out of shopping!
I used a lovely heavyweight upholstery fabric from Ikea for one side, and a cute brown polka dot lightweight fabric for the reverse side.
Carry Your Laptop in One of These Babies
I was stumped for ideas for a present until I stumbled across this DIY project from Design*Sponge. I decided to modify it slightly and make it into a laptop sleeve using a more heavyweight fabric.
The outer fabric is a buttery soft navy blue leather and the lining is a printed wool blend mix which I bought from a little shop in Tokyo’s fabric town, Nippori.
New Sewing Machine!
My wonderful boyfriend bought me this awesome new Singer sewing machine for Christmas. It runs very smoothly without any jumping (like my previous sewing machine used to do!), and the quick hit buttons for the main stitch types make it effortless to use.
